About

Kyoto Guide

This site was created to help non-native Japanese people who live in or visit Kyoto. I firmly believe Japan to be a wonderful and unique place to live. However, sometimes people may not get the best out of the country, perhaps because of language difficulties, or maybe from a lack of awareness about what is on offer.

Although this website has only just started, it is my hope that in time people will use the forums to communicate with each other. They are aimed at both foreigners and Japanese residents. Hopefully, it can provide a way for people to exchange ideas and further the understanding between Kyoto's different communities.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Taylor for all his help with the site.
